【Drawing a Divine Lot for My Children】
In May 2017, my cousin brother brought me to the Bathing the Buddha Blessing Ceremony hosted by Bodhi Meditation. It was my first time joining the event and I have to say that it was spectacular! After the ceremony, I drew a divine lot and gave the result to a fellow sister for interpretation. She asked, “Fellow brother, May I ask what did your wish for?” I told her, “I don’t need much in life but I wish for having a grandchild!”
【A Light Offering for My Karmic Creditors Blessed My Second Daughter-in-law with Fraternal Twins】
I have three children: two sons and a daughter. My eldest son was married for ten years; my second son was married for 6 years and my daughter was married for two years but none of them had a child, which puzzled me, for they had consulted both doctors of Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine who stated that their fertility was normal. After listening to my account, the fellow sister advised me to offer a light for my karmic creditors, convey my wish to Grandmaster JinBodhi in front of his dharma photo with sincerity and accumulate merits by volunteering in Bodhi Meditation Centers.
I followed her advice – making a light offering and communicating with Grandmaster JinBodhi. Moreover, I often went to volunteer in the kitchen of one of the Centers. About one or two months later, one day, I received a call from my second son saying that his wife was pregnant, but we would have to wait for another month for confirmation. We were excited and delighted. On the day of the pregnancy test, my second daughter-in-law’s pregnancy is confirmed! And they were twins as two heart beats were detected! We were overjoyed! In the next two months of prenatal visits, the doctor told us another unbelievable news: they were fraternal twins!
Seeing my lovely grandchildren growing up day by day, my heart brimmed with gratitude! Apart from offering light for their family on every 15th day of Lunar Calendar, I also made light offerings for my other son and daughter frequently, hoping that they would be blessed by the Buddha and Bodhisattvas. In August 2018, I was jubilantly surprised by another unexpected news – my daughter was pregnant! My wish was fulfilled through making light offerings and volunteering. I’m very grateful for the blessings of the Buddha, Bodhisattvas and Grandmaster Jinbodhi.
