After a rigorous review process, a total of 20 underprivileged students from all over Malaysia have received “JinBodhi Higher Education Bursary 2022” to help them complete their tertiary education in the public universities, with a total allocation of RM191,810.

Bodhi Meditation Malaysia Charity Fund upholds the concept of poverty alleviation and education initiatives, officially opened the application of “JinBodhi Higher Education Bursary 2022” in June, continuing to provide a platform for the students to apply for bursary. The beneficiaries include students from Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

“JinBodhi Higher Education Bursary” was officially established in 2017, mainly to help the underprivileged students to successfully enter the university. As of 2021, the Charity Fund has allocated nearly RM8 million to help more than 500 students successfully get into the university, and more than 280 students have successfully graduated.

The beneficiaries shared their own stories, which were very touching, and the committee members of the Charity Fund also gave the students words of encouragement and full of positive energy. They hoped that the students would not give up, face the challenge bravely and be firm in their choice when they encountered difficulties and setbacks in the future.
